Start with the format
Confirm whether the product is flower, pre rolls, a vape, an edible or a concentrate. Then check the net weight, unit count or volume so you know exactly what the package contains.
Read the cannabinoids
THC and CBD may be shown as totals and as the amount present when packaged. Read the units carefully because dried flower, extracts and edibles can be expressed differently.
Check the package date
The package date tells you when the product was packaged. It is not the same thing as a harvest date. Storage after purchase also matters, so keep the package closed and follow the label directions.
Keep the lot number
A lot or batch number connects a package to a specific production record. Keep it with the original packaging if you have a product question or need to contact the producer.
